UIA canceled the next flight to Yerevan on October 5, 2020
October 3, 2020: Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) continues to analyze the feasibility of flights to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict zone in accordance with aviation security requirements. As a result, UIA has decided to cancel the fourth regular flight Kyiv-Yerevan PS611, scheduled for Monday, October 5 at 17:10 UTC.
The airline made the appropriate decision based on the exceptionally high priority of flight safety and the need to comply with international aviation safety standards. In addition, UIA's independent actions are synchronized with the position of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine to restrict flights to the conflict zone.
"We remain consistent in our decision and consider each flight separately. We have decided to cancel flight on October 5, 2020. Unfortunately, the situation in the region remains unstable. Security is our undoubted priority. Everyone in the company wants the situation to return to normal and we to be able to return to our regular flight program, because Armenia is one of the most visited countries by Ukrainians." – press-service of the airline reported.
Representatives of the airline will provide the necessary communication with the passengers of the specified flight and will provide them with all the necessary support provided by this situation.
