Responding to numerous requests regarding operations over the Sinai Peninsula, Ukraine International Airlines inform the press and passengers on the following:
Three UIA routes – to Sharm el Sheikh, Amman, and Dubai – are laid in the proximity of the Sinai region. However, air-corridors of all the flights are laid so as UIA aircraft do not enter the airspace of the Sinai Peninsula: flights to/from Dubai and Amman are operated eastward, while flights to/from Sharm el Sheikh are operated westward.
Operating all flights as scheduled, UIA fully complies with international aviation safety and security requirements. Safety of passengers, crew and aircraft is the UIA #1 priority.
