Effective June 1, 2019, all Panorama Club, Ukraine International loyalty program, members may join the carrier’s charity initiative by crediting their miles to special donation accounts of the UIA partner organizations.
The respective Memoranda between Ukraine International and “Ty ne Odyn” charity fund (regarding the “Make a Dream” project), “Tabletochki” charity fund, and Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery were signed on May 29, 2019, at the press briefing.
From now on, UIA offers Panorama Club members the opportunity to help those in need by donating miles accrued on their accounts. Do to so, a Panorama Club member should use one’s member web account; choose one of the UIA partner organizations and the amount of miles to be donated. There are neither minimum nor maximum amount of miles that may be credited to donation accounts. Unlike miles accrued on individual and corporate Panorama Club accounts, those credited to donation accounts will have no fixed validity period. Further, charity organizations will be able to use the miles donated to cover – either partially or in full – the fare part of a ticket for an UIA flight and, therefore, fund their supervisees’ trips abroad to undergo urgent treatment or rehabilitation.
Currently, UIA enjoys loyalty of over 570,000 individual and over 3,000 corporate Panorama Club members. According to Panorama Club Terms and Conditions, miles may be redeemed for a discount at a ratio of 100 miles for 1 USD. The discount is applied to the fare part of a ticket, airport fees excluded. Service and fuel fees are not applied to tickets issued using donation accounts.
“Anyone can help. Therefore, we at Ukraine International did our best to arrange things so that our passengers would get an opportunity to join our charity efforts,” – noted Sergey Fomenko, UIA Vice-President Commerce.
“Miles is an aviation currency that may be exchanged for various bonuses such as ticket discounts. UIA has already contributed by crediting 100 thousand miles to the accounts of each partner organization,” – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Communications Director.
