Flight dispatcher
Ukraine International Airlines Training Center provides special initial and recurrent training to Flight Dispatchers under programs approved by the Ukrainian Aviation Authorities:
PROFESSIONAL INITIAL TRAINING FOR OBTAINING A CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE STATE AVIATION ADMINISTRATION OF UKRAINE – 80 hours (10 academic days), intended to experts having experience (no less than two years) as a Crew Member of transport aviation, an Air Traffic Controller, an Assistant Flight Dispatcher, or having higher education conforming the aforesaid qualification.
RECURRENT TRAINING – 24 hours (3 academic days) or 8 hours (1 academic day) subject to preliminary distance learning. Training is given if a training group is formed.
The syllabus includes the following subjects:
- Aviation law
- Flight instruments and flight operations technical systems
- Aerodynamics
- Airspace and air traffic service
- Flight operations and navigation
- Special cases and emergency situations
- Aircraft weight and balance
- Aircraft performance characteristics
- Aviation meteorology
- Flight planning, support and supervision
- Air communication
- General information about aircraft and aircraft engine design
- Pilot and Flight Dispatcher human factor
Prior to training, a trainee, if he/she has not studied in the UIA Training Center, should present evidentiary documentation (aviation education and training course diploma or certificate) and take an admission test to determine the level of knowledge required for training recommendations. The test aims to assess knowledge of the subjects included into the syllabus.
Upon completion of the training and passing exams (computer testing and practical skills assessment), a trainee obtains:
- Certificate of Training Completion
- Aviation exam results
- Report of practical skills testing
Based on these documents a person can obtain (or renew) the Flight Operations Officer Certificate pursuant to Order No. 279 dated 29 April 2009 issued by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine.

Dangerous Goods
UIA Training Centre is accredited by IATA to give training in Dangerous Goods transportation Dangerous Goods transportation. UIA Training Center, as an IATA Authorized School, hereby offers training in dangerous goods transportation by air to aviation personnel according to IATA classification.
During our training course students will learn:
- General philosophy of DG transportation;
- Limitations on DG transportation;
- List of Dangerous Goods;
- Labeling and marking;
- Recognition of Undeclared Dangerous Goods;
- Storage and loading procedures;
- Pilot's notification;
- Provisions for passengers and crew;
- Emergency procedures.
Upon successful completion of our DG training, our students receive a Certificate.
