Changes to the rules for entering Ukraine during the period of the quarantine measures
01.10.2020 Ukraine International Airlines warns its passengers about the changes made by the Ukrainian government to the rules for entering Ukraine during the period of the quarantine measures.
Starting from 28.09.2020 foreigners and stateless persons who enter Ukraine must have the valid insurance policy (certificate), that cover the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19 and observation, cover the entire duration of stay in Ukraine and issued by:
- the insurance company registered in Ukraine or
- the foreign insurance company that has a representative office in Ukraine or a contractual relationship with an insurance company - partner in Ukraine.
Persons, who arrive from the countries or citizens (nationals) of the countries with a high number of COVID-19 cases are subject to self-isolation.

EXCEPTIONS:
Insurance Policy (certificate) is not required to enter the territory of Ukraine for:
- foreigners, stateless persons permanently residing in Ukraine;
- persons recognized as refugees or in need of additional protection;
- employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states, representations of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine and their family members;
- military (units) of the Armed Forces of NATO member states and member states of the NATO "Partnership for Peace" participating in activities of training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Persons are not subject to self-isolation if there is no reason to believe that they have been in contact with a person with COVID-19:
- persons under 12 years old;
- persons, who arrive in Ukraine for studying at higher education institutions;
- persons, who are citizens (nationals) of states with a wide spread of COVID-19 and have not been on the territory of such countries over the past 14 days or travel in transit via Ukraine and have documents which confirm the departure abroad within two days;
- employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states, representations of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine and their family members;
- persons who are drivers and/or crew members of freight vehicles, buses engaged in regular transportation, crew members of aircraft, ships and river vessels, members of train and locomotive crews;
- Military instructors from NATO countries and member states of the NATO "Partnership for Peace" participating in activities of training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- cultural figures who arrive at the invitation of a cultural institution together with one person accompanying each of them;
- persons who carry out transportation of hematopoietic stem cells for transplantation;
- persons who have a negative result of testing for COVID-19 by polymerase chain reaction, which was carried out not more than 48 hours before crossing the border.
