Due to the exceptional circumstances caused by the spread of COVID-19, many countries have ongoing restrictions on entry, temporarily suspend visas, and implement quarantine measures for travellers.

Taking into account the restrictive measures, UIA is offering flexible travel options so that you can plan your desired vacation with confidence. Book tickets with a travel period until October 26, 2020 and you will have the option to change your travel date on the same route and in the selected booking class within the ticket validity period without incurring a change fee. For tickets with a travel period until October 26, 2020, we are offering a flexible rebooking policy for all UIA fares:
- You can rebook your flight once without rebooking fee, as described in your ticket conditions, for the same route within the validity period of the ticket.
- If on new travel dates the original ticket price is not available anymore (due to changes in the fare and/or taxes levels), the ticket price differences must be paid.
- Service fee for ticket changes does not apply.
The original fare rules will apply to further changes.

In line with UIA’s Passenger and baggage carriage rules and the “Rules of air transportation and service of passengers and baggage” approved by the State Aviation Service of Ukraine:
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to obtaining all required travel documents: visas, permits, certificates, etc., as well as to implement all applicable laws on departure, entry and transit of the country of departure and arrival.
- The airline will not be liable to passengers for the consequences of the passenger not obtaining all necessary travel documents or not complying with the applicable laws of the country of departure and arrival.
- At the request of the carrier, passengers must present to the authorized representatives of the carrier or of the competent state authorities all documents for departure, entry, transit, health status and any other documents required by applicable laws, and allow the airline to make and keep copies of these documents or to keep, in any other way, the data that these documents contain.
- The airline has a right to refuse to carry a passenger if they do not obey all applicable laws or if their travel documents are not valid, not properly processed or cast doubt on their reliability, including failure to provide a valid entry visa, proof of funds, a return ticket, etc.
A passenger who is denied carriage or further transportation due to this reason, will be entitled to a rebooking or to a refund as per applicable fare rules.
- The airline has no liability if a passenger is denied entry to a country of transit through a country.
- At the request of the airline or state authorities a passenger must pay the full cost for transporting them back, if they are required to return to their place of departure or to another place due to the refusal of the destination country to admit such passenger, regardless of whether this country is the destination or transit country.
- The airline reserves the right not to refund to the passenger the fare paid for carrying them to the place where they were denied entry or to the deportation place.
- If the airline is required to pay or deposit any amount, pay any fine, penalty or charge or provide a financial guarantee due to the fact that the passenger has not complied with the requirements of the applicable laws or has not submitted the necessary travel documents, or presented fake documents or documents containing false information, the passenger must at the request of the airline, refund to the airline the amount paid or deposited as well as any other related expenses.
According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the following countries are referred to “red” and “green” zones.
It must be refused to cross the state border of Ukraine for foreigners and stateless persons of Ukraine (except for foreigners, stateless persons permanently residing in Ukraine and persons recognized as refugees or in need of additional protection) without an insurance policy (certificate) covering the costs, associated with COVID-19 treatment. The carrier is not responsible for the passenger's absence of the insurance policy (COVID-19).
Persons arriving from the country or citizens (submitted) of the country with wide spread COVID-19 will be required to undergo observation.
Will not be required to undergo observation persons who are citizens (submitted) of countries with a wide spread of COVID-19 and have not been the last 14 days in the territory of such countries, employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states, representations of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine and their family members, drivers and maintenance personnel of freight vehicles, crew members of aircraft and ships, river vessels, members of train and locomotive crews, participants of external independent evaluation together with one person accompanying each of them, if there is no reason to consider that they were in contact with a person with COVID-19, persons who have agreed to undergo using self-isolation the Act at Home mobile application the Unified state web portal of electronic services before crossing the state border.
