Adjustment of face mask policy at Schiphol per 07/09/2020
As it is paramount to ensure that passengers can travel safely during the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to inform you of an adjustment in Schiphol’s policy regarding the use of face masks on our premises.
From Monday, September 7th 0:01 LT, the use of face masks is requested in all passenger areas of the terminal complex. To keep it simple: from Schiphol Plaza to the aircraft and vice versa.
The emergency ordinance will also slightly change: The mandatory use of face masks will now also include the reclaim areas and the entrance of the COVID-19 test facility. The mandatory use of face masks remains unchanged for check-in, security- and border processes and boarding) as mandated in update 36# send on June 18th 2020.
The policy to request the use of face masks in passenger areas includes both passengers and staff.
In addition to this adjustment the message to both passengers and staff remains the same: Do not come to Schiphol if you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19. Keep 1,5 meters distance and respect the hygiene recommendations and rules.
