UIA`s Winter Schedule: new flights, new travel opportunities

16.02.2018

Effective October 25, 2009 the UIA winter 2009/2010 Schedule takes effect until March 27, 2010. During this Winter season UIA offers new opportunities to travel to Europe, the Gulf as well as to the cities of Ukraine.

The Kyiv-Abu Dhabi flight, launched on September 25, will be operated three times a week as of November 29 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Thanks to code-share arrangements with Etihad Airways UIA passengers are provided with a unique “one-stop” service to travel to exotic destinations in Asia, Africa, Australia and the Indian subcontinent via the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

On December 24, 2009, UIA launches a new direct service Odesa-Dubai. This flight will be operated twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. In the case of the regular service from Kyiv to Dubai, UIA passengers are able to travel between Ukraine and UAE 7 times a week. Excellent highways between Dubai and Abu-Dhabi airports allow passengers to use the connections of both hubs in full.

In winter 2009-2010 UIA will also introduce a weekly flight Lviv-Milan-Lviv on Sundays.

UIA`s direct weekly flight from Lviv will also link the Western capital of Ukraine with Madrid on Tuesdays.

At the same time UIA is increasing the number of scheduled flights to various other destinations.

The frequency of UIA Kyiv-Tbilisi flight will increase from 4 up to 6 times a week (daily, except Saturdays).

This winter UIA`s direct Kyiv-Frankfurt flight will be operated daily without the stop in Lviv.

«Despite difficult times, caused by the financial crisis, during Summer 2009 UIA has not cancelled any scheduled services and has not laid-up any aircraft, - noted Yuri Miroshnikov, UIA President. – On the contrary, we have launched 2 new flights and added 2 “new-generation” Boeing 737’s to our fleet. We open the 2009-2010 winter season as the leading carrier in the Ukrainian air transportation market and plan to further expand the UIA network as we realize the airline`s fleet modernization programme».
