To new achievements - with new Boeings!

21.09.2009

September 5th 2009 became a red-letter day in the UIA history. On that day our airline expanded its fleet with the new passenger airplane –Boeing 737-800, delivered from the Boeing plant in Seattle.

The new aircraft is the second of four new Boeing 737-800 aircraft scheduled for delivery in the nearest half a year. Two more new Boeing 737-800 aircraft are scheduled for delivery in early 2010 as a part of UIA’s long term program of fleet renewal and expansion. Thus, the number of airplanes of this modification in the UIA fleet will reach 4.

The new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft are equipped with the latest navigation equipment and CFM (56-7B26) engines that feature a number of technical improvements with lower fuel burn and increased reliability making the aircraft more efficient, environmentally friendly and easier to maintain.

«Warm congratulations to our old partner - Ukraine International Airlines. You expanded your fleet with the second, the most modern and reliable aircraft Boeing 737-800, - said Aldo Bazile, Boeing Commercial Airplanes sales vice-president for Europe, Russia and Ukraine. - I do not doubt that Boeing 737-800 with its highest indexes of operating efficiency, economy and passenger comfort will help UIA to increase their profitability, to open new routes and to compete successfully at the aviation market».

Ukraine International Airlines has been operating Boeing aircraft since its foundation in 1992. Today UIA’s fleet consists of 19 modern Boeing 737 aircraft including new aircraft. We believe that the new aircraft - with the latest aircraft and engine technology available in the world today - will be highly estimated by our passengers and will enhance the UIA’s leadership positions in the Ukrainian aviation market.
