UIA continues operating regular and charter flights to Turkey
27.04.2021: Ukraine International Airlines will continue operating regular and charter flights to Turkey amidst the local lockdown, announced to last from April 29 to May 17, 2021.
The country has introduced certification of safe tourism, which will provide citizens of Ukraine an opportunity to go on vacation during the lockdown.
Therefore, hotel stay will remain unchanged for passengers of UIA charter flights as per the selected tour. Passengers of regular flights who travel to Turkey for the purpose of individual tourism should check quarantine restrictions more thoroughly.
The airline reports that there has been no increase in passenger requests to cancel flights or postpone the date of departure to Turkish cities. The air carrier notes the dynamics of sales growth for relevant destinations, due to the upcoming May holidays in Ukraine.
UIA reminds that a passenger may use one of the three methods of compensation for an unused ticket in case of changes in the airline's schedule, transfer or cancellation of a flight due to epidemiological reasons:
- change the flight date using the Manage My Booking service on the UIA website;
- get a promo code to save the cost of an unused ticket + an additional bonus of 25% of the cost of an unused ticket;
- make a request to refund a ticket.
In addition, UIA passengers can independently manage their flight parameters using the Manage My Booking (MMB) online service. Passengers can change the flight destination, date, additional services, etc through the mobile application or the UIA website. It is important to remember that amending flight details is possible for tickets issued on UIA forms (ticket number starts with 566) no later than 14 hours before the departure time of the first unused flight indicated on the ticket.
