UIA is recognized the best Ukrainian airline of 2010

According to the annual journalistic poll „Ukrainian Tourism as viewed by the Ukrainian Press”, conducted in December by the Tourist Press Club of Ukraine Journalist Association and Ukrainian National Tourist Office, Ukraine International Airlines was recognized the best national airline of 2010.

Journalists from all the regions of Ukraine representing television, printed media and Internet sources took part in the poll. The purpose of this traditional poll is the evaluation of the situation in the national tourism industry provided by the representatives of the media which influence public opinion about the tourism market, as well as defining the best media and journalists covering tourism issue. The best national airlines were estimated by the following criteria: the quality of passenger service, the geography of flights, the pricing policy, the dynamics of opening new routes, the volume of co-operation with tourism companies in organizing charter flights, and the total number of such flights.

According to the Head of the Tourist Press Club of Ukraine Journalist Association Igor Slisarenko, it is not for the first time that UIA is recognized as a favorite airline of the Ukrainian tourists. UIA is widely known not only for its high quality of passenger service, but also for the constant expansion of the routes geography, which provides passengers with an opportunities for easy reaching the world`s best resorts.

“The fact of recognizing UIA the best airline of 2010 is a great honor for our company, given that the poll was conducted among highly competent experts of tourist business, the assessment of which objectively reflects the situation in the sphere of air transportation. – said Evgeniya Satskaya, UIA Corporate Press Secretary. – It is crucial that our work is highly appreciated by both passengers and travel industry professionals, and we are constantly working to become better and better. This year we have established regular connection with Almaty, Geneva and Tel Aviv, we were developing an exotic destinations – by launching flights to Goa (India) and Colombo (Sri Lanka). With UIA our passengers can now easily reach the Maldives and the Canary Islands, the Thai island of Phuket, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Johannesburg (South Africa). However, we are not going to be satisfied with what has already been achieved, so our passengers will have new opportunities for air traveling in the oncoming year”.
