2 pieces of baggage (2 PC). For passengers of “seaman” category 2PC baggage allowance applies provided that the ticket has been purchased at special seamen fare established at UIA. In such case the free baggage allowance is indicated on the ticket at the time of its issuance. Tickets at seaman fare are not available for purchase on the UIA website. You can buy tickets at the travel agency that cooperates with you shipping company.
+ 1 wheelchair per person (any wheelchair type, weight and size) and/or other assisting devices they are dependent upon, irrespective of service class (including 0PC tickets – hand baggage only fare). Passengers’ own wheelchairs can only be carried as checked baggage.

Carriage of sporting equipment must be confirmed to UIA while booking a flight.
Each set of sporting equipment up to 23 kg is considered one piece of baggage regardless of size. Exception: bulky sporting equipment and surfboards longer than 300 сm shall be carried as cargo.

Musical instruments can be transported:
- as hand luggage; (80x40x20 cm).
- on additionally paid passenger seat;
- as checked baggage;
- as cargo.
Conditions for providing additional space for the carriage baggage*:
- Availability of free seats on current flight.
- Payment in accordance with UIA stated fare.
- Possibility to lift the armrests of passenger chairs on board the aircraft on current flight.
- Maximum weight for luggage: 80 kg.
- The maximum dimensions depend on the type of aircraft.
* The free baggage allowance and carry-on baggage allowance does not increase when transporting baggage.
Carriage of arms and ammunition must be confirmed to UIA while booking a flight.
1 container with a weapon and 1 container with ammunition (up to 5 kg) are considered as one piece of baggage.

Carriage of animals must be paid and confirmed to UIA while booking a flight.
Exceptions. Service animals are carried for free and should be confirmed to UIA. Dogs / cats in the cabin: weight of the container with an animal – up to 10 kg, container size 55 x 40 x 23 сm. Dogs / cats in the hold: weight of the container with an animal – up to 75 kg, maximum dimensions: 110 x 75 x 75 cm.
The transportation of pets weighing 32 kg to 75 kg in the cargo hold is prohibited to/from: Bangkok, Brussels, Chernivtsi, Dnipro, Dubai, Ivano-Frankivsk, London, Lviv, New York, Prague, Stockholm, Zaporizhzhia.

Terms of refund for unused checked baggage carriage service on passenger’s / payer’s request*:
- Prior to departure of the flight indicated on the ticket for which you purchased the service – you will be eligible to apply for a refund for purchased service or rearrange it to a different flight (if UIA has such a possibility) at the place where you purchased this service. If the service was ordered and paid for via the UIA website, the passenger/payer* must send a request to the e-mail address from which the passenger/payer* received a confirmation of the order, or request a refund via the UIA Customer Support Center.
- After departure of the flight indicated on the ticket for which you purchased the service, but did not use it:
- you can submit your refund application online via the UIA Customer Relations Department or using the feedback form;
- you may rearrange this service for another flight (if UIA has such a possibility) via the UIA Customer Support Center.
* PLEASE NOTE: We make a refund to the person stated on the receipt confirming the payment for the corresponding service, or to the bank account from which the payment for the service was made. If there is no information about the payer for the service, the passenger receives a refund upon his/her application.
UIA will make a refund based on the service payment receipt and ID documents.
UIA reserves the right to refuse a refund if the passenger submits a refund application upon expiry of 12 months after the service payment receipt was issued.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Discounts from excess baggage charges apply only on UIA’s own flights.
On regular and charter UIA flights the discount from charges applied less than 24 hours prior to scheduled flight departure and at check-in desks for excess baggage is available when paying 24 and more hours before scheduled time of the flight departure (doesn't apply to carriage of pets in the hold). Charges at the boarding gate are 20% higher than those applied less than 24 hours prior to scheduled flight departure and at check-in desks. Passengers who have already booked tickets can order additional services by themselves via Manage My Bookings.
The extra baggage charges, if paid no later than 24 hours before departure, vary from 20 EUR to 94 EUR*. The extra baggage charges paid less than 24 hours prior to departure vary from 30 EUR to 155 EUR*. Payment for the service at the airport can be made only by bank card.
* The exact charge for carrying excess baggage depends on your chosen route, your extra bag weight and size. You can find out the exact amount when booking the service online on the UIA website or by contacting the UIA Customer Support Center.
ATTENTION! During boarding an aircraft, excess baggage carriage can be paid only by bank card.
Charter flights passengers are entitled to a free carriage of one piece (1PC) of checked baggage of up to 23 kg.
If your route includes segments operated by different carriers the free baggage allowance and excess baggage charges of the first operating carrier will apply throughout the route. Discounts do not apply in this case.
Exception: On UIA flights operated under the code-share agreement the free checked baggage allowance shown on your ticket will apply.
If a passenger has separate tickets for his/her journey: UIA (PS) and another carrier, the passenger's baggage shall be checked in only for the UIA flight segment; if for UIA (PS-PS) flights only, the passenger's baggage shall be checked-in to the final destination.
