UIA cancels flights to Yerevan, Armenia until October 31, 2020
October 7, 2020: Due to the escalation of tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has made the decision to cancel flights to Yerevan until October 31, 2020. The decision was made to insure the safety of our passengers and crew due to the high degree of risks associated in the Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict zone. The decision was made with government officials and the State Aviation Service of Ukraine, which confirmed the high level of risks for the immediate future.
UIA will closely monitor developments in the region and make decisions to reinstate future flights to Yerevan at the end of October. UIA expects to resume flights to Armenia after the situation stabilizes, with the understanding that flights will only resume when UIA can confirm safety for our flights in the region.
Passengers who have purchased tickets to Yerevan through October 31, 2020, are urged to go to www.FlyUIA.com and use the updated Manage My Booking tool to determine what options are best for them during this time.
More information on flights to Yerevan, and additional UIA services, can be found on the airline's website.
