UIA will take Ukrainians from China and students from Delhi on a single special flight
Ukraine International Airlines special flight to the Chinese city Tianjin will be operated on September, 26. The initial date for the evacuation of Ukrainians was set for September, 17, however, as the load capacity was less than 30 percent, the flight had to be postponed.
Passengers that refused to fly after the transfer of the flight were offered a ticket refund.
Thus, Ukrainians will be avacuated in the near future - on September, 26.
In addition, thanks to the coordinated work of the embassies of Ukraine, India and China, it is possible to make a flight with an intermediate landing in Delhi. An additional flight segment is needed to transport more than 200 students from India that are returning to study in Ukraine. The entry restrictions on the entry of foreigners and stateless persons to Ukraine do not apply to students that are arriving to study in Ukraine.
Thus, it will be possible to bring home Ukrainians from the People's Republic of China and foreign students from Delhi, despite the lack of direct flights between Ukraine, China and India.
As mentioned earlier, UIA flight to Tianjin is a special flight that is not in airline's regular flight program. The organization of such flights is always in cooperation with the Embassies of Ukraine - the airline plans the flight based on the list of passengers from the Embassies.
The organization of a flight from Tianjin to Kyiv with a landing in Delhi was a diplomatic victory of Ukrainian diplomats. Ukraine International Airlines is grateful to everyone who made this flight possible.
