Information on the UIA flight PS 3153 Kyiv - Warsaw on May 24
Recently, Ukrainian media have published a news piece stating that a COVID-19 positive passenger had been presumably traveling on one of the charter flights from Ukraine. Therefore, some media resources misrepresented available information and unreasonably resumed that the COVID-19 positive passenger might have been carried by the Ukraine International flight on May 24, 2020.
In fact, the disseminated information bears no relevance to the PS 3153 Kyiv – Warsaw flight. At the origin and destination airports, all 179 passengers were cleared through thermal screening by medical officers with no suspected cases identified. To comply with the Polish legal requirements, all passengers must go through compulsory 14-day extended quarantine and observation by official authorities.
The safety and health of passengers and crew have always been Ukraine International’s utmost priorities. Operating charter flights during the quarantine, the airline strictly complies with the requirements of the World Health Organization, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the healthcare authorities of destination countries. Besides, to better protect passengers and crew, Ukraine International increased security and sanitary standards throughout the carriage.
