Commencing October 31, 2010 the UIA 2010/2011 Winter Schedule takes effect until March 27, 2011. During this winter season UIA provides passengers with new opportunities for air travel to South Asia as well as expands the range of offers to Europe, the Gulf and the cities of Ukraine.

The regular flights to Goa (India), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Johannesburg (South Africa Republic) will become the novelties of this season`s winter schedule. These flights will be operated via Abu Dhabi where the passengers will be able to visit one of the world`s best Duty Free Shop networks.

During 2010 – 2011 winter seasons UIA launches new regular flights from Kyiv to Almaty that will be operated twice a week. The frequency of Kyiv – Geneva flight will be increased up to 4 times per week, Kyiv – Tel Aviv flight – up to 5 times per week, Kyiv – Tbilisi – up to 13 flights per week, Kyiv – Abu Dhabi flight – up to 7 times per week and Kyiv – Milan flight – up to 5 times per week.

Moreover, new charter flights will connect Kyiv with Phuket (Thailand), Tenerife (Canary Islands), Lleida (Spain), Erzurum (Turkey), Grenoble (France), Aqaba (Jordan), Al-Fujairah and Ras-al-Khaimah (UAE).

UIA expands the geography of its charter flights not only from the capital but also from the regional centers of Ukraine. Cooperating with one of the largest touristic companies of Ukraine – Pegasus Touristic – UIA launches charter flights from Lugansk to the popular resorts of Egypt – Hurghada and Taba.

Charter flights to Erzurum (Turkey) will be operated from Donetsk, Odesa and Kharkiv, while charter flights will also connect Donetsk with Dubai (UAE), Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) and Salzburg (Austria).

“UIA has been actively developing exotic resort destinations, as passengers invariably response positively to the launch of such flights, - said Sergey Fomenko UIA Vice President Sales and Marketing. - These routes are particularly relevant in winter as, due to climatic peculiarities, the vacation on European beach resorts becomes impossible, while distant exotic countries offer to enjoy “out of seasons” resorts throughout the year.”
