Ukraine International reports on humanitarian relief shipments
During the embargo on commercial passenger flights, Ukraine International delivered on a large-scale humanitarian flight program.
The airline operated the humanitarian relief flights using both its B-737 and B-767 equipment that had been partly configured especially to maximize the amount of cargo that can be delivered on these flights. The aircraft configuration allowed for about nearly 110 cubic meters of cargo on Boeing 737 aircraft and approximately 190 cubic meters on Boeing 767 aircraft.
Since the ban on scheduled passenger flights and through May 31, Ukraine International operated 45 special cargo flights. The airline carried 870 tons of medical supplies and humanitarian relief shipments.
