UIA employees join COVID vaccination

06.07.21: Within a month, Ukraine International Airlines has been implementing a program for voluntary vaccination of its staff against the COVID-19 virus.

Initially, representatives of the flight complex - pilots and flight attendants - can receive vaccinations with Sinovac vaccine. This priority is due to the desire to ensure maximum epidemiological protection for crews working on international flights, in accordance with the global trend.

“We are well aware that new times require proactive steps that will allow UIA crews to fly safely to any corner of the world. UIA always focus on safety standards with a clear understanding - in the new realities it is vaccination to make flights accessible, and the world to be more open, ”noted the CEO of the airline Yevheniy Dykhne.

As of the beginning of July, about 50% of UIA employees have joined the vaccination. In the future, the air carrier aims to bring this figure to 90%.
