Ukraine International Airlines and S7 Airlines announce expansion of the agreement on joint route operations (code-sharing agreement) concluded by the carriers in July 2011.
As of November 21, 2011, through partnership extension with S7 Airlines – UIA links the cities of Ukraine and the Russian Federation with its routes. Thus, apart from the previously launched scheduled flights between Kyiv and Moscow and Kyiv and Samara, UIA enlarged its route network by launching daily scheduled services to such Russian cities as Ufa, Kazan, and Yekaterinburg. Optimal flight schedule and convenient connections in Moscow Domodedovo International Airport will help passengers from Ukraine to conveniently and quickly reach these regional centers of Russia. Moreover, under the UIA – S7 Airlines code-sharing agreement direct scheduled Kyiv – Samara flights will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while Samara – Kyiv flights will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays respectively.
Passengers from the regions of Russia will also be able to take advantage of convenient connections, when traveling to the capital of Ukraine – Kyiv, and beyond, to the key points of UIA domestic route network: the cities of Simferopol, Donetsk, Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv (daily), and Lviv (daily except Tuesday).
“Extending partnership with such a powerful Russian carrier as S7 Airlines will not only help strengthen UIA position on the air transportation market between Ukraine and its strategic partner – the Russian Federation, but also give a powerful impetus to the development of business and cultural contacts between the two friendly states, – noted Denis Antonyuk, UIA Network Expansion Director. – We are pleased to provide our passengers with even more travel opportunities and hope the advantages of the joint route network of UIA and S7 Airlines will soon become evident to both the Ukrainians flying to the regions of the Russian Federation and the Russians traveling to Kyiv and key cities of Ukraine”.
