Ukraine International Airlines continue to develop the web check-in service: lately, three new destinations – Vienna*, Moscow, and Samara – were added to the list of departure airports where the web check-in service for UIA flights is available. Thus, the total number of UIA departure airports offering web check-in service currently amounts to twenty two.

The web check-in via UIA website flyUIA.com is a user-friendly and convenient service allowing passengers to save time at the airport, to avoid queues, and to choose a desirable seat in the aircraft. Currently, web check-in for UIA own flights (5-digit flight numbers, PS101 for example) is available for the airports of Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Vienna, Dnipro, Donetsk, Geneva, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lisbon, London, Lviv, Milan, Moscow, Odesa, Rome, Samara, Simferopol, Tbilisi, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, and Zurich.

Web check-in is available within the period of 23 to one hour prior to the scheduled departure. To benefit from the web check-in service a passenger needs to have access to the Internet and to print a boarding pass which will be available upon the web check-in procedure completion. The web check-in procedure is quite user-friendly: a passenger is required to visit the Web Check-In section on UIA website and enter his e-ticket number (or reservation code) and his last name. In case a visa is required in the country of destination, the web check-in system will request the passenger’s passport details if they were not entered while booking. Upon arrival at the airport the passenger needs only to drop off his baggage at a drop-off point or at the check-in desk. In case the passenger does not have baggage to drop off, he may proceed directly to Aviation Security Service control and then board the aircraft.

“In 2009 we were the first Ukrainian carrier providing passengers with an opportunity to an opportunity to check-in for flights all by themselves. Ever since we have been expanding the list of airports where this service is available, – noted Vladimir Tepikin, UIA Information Technologies Director. –Our aim is to provide the web check-in service for all UIA destinations since this passenger-friendly option allows our passengers to spend minimum time on airport formalities making the start of their trip even more comfortable and enjoyable”.

*UIA passengers traveling between Kiev and Vienna may use the web check-in service on UIA website, while the same service is available on Austrian Airlines website for those departing from Vienna (starting the web check-in procedure on flyUIA.com, a passenger will be redirected to Austrian Airlines website automatically).
