The Ukrainian economy is emerging and quickly integrating to the global trade activity. Ukraine International Airlines is proud to be the important part of this process. Thanks to UIA, Ukraine is increasing the turnover of goods annually: export, import and transit, due to fact that PS is not only passenger but cargo carrier as well. The cargo and mail transportation is the next important activity after passenger business in our company – the airline is carrying cargo on all its scheduled passenger flights.

The partnership with Cargo General Sales Agent, European Cargo Services, provides for us huge marketing advantages worldwide for inbound cargo. The interline agreements with more than 60 international airlines makes delivery possible to every spot of the globe.

UIA also operate with scheduled full cargo flights. The first freighter flew 13 November 1994 by IL-76 aircraft from Kiev to London and Amsterdam. Since 23 December 1994 cargo flights are operated with cooperation of reliable cargo-airlines on different types of cargo aircrafts, including AN-26, AN-12 and even AN-22.

The large part of shipments arriving to the main Ukrainian hub, Boryspil airport, has to be forwarded to other points of Ukraine. UIA is moving these shipments, using Domestic flights and road feeder services.
